Ok… this is another self review for March and it is a good idea to start by giving reasons for procrastination XD.

I was supposed to write it down by March 31, but that was a Thursday so “I need to work on Friday” was a fantastic excuse.

April 1st was a Friday and I wanted to have some fun so I went to watch the movie Uncharted. Also I thought “there is a weekend ahead and I will have enough time”.

The next day Saturday, April 2nd, was the first day of the weekend and I had planned to grab a coffee with a friend in the morning and explored Lombard Street and Coit Tower in the afternoon. I had walked and run 15.8 km that day (actually it was yesterday ~) within 200,000+ steps. It was too tired for me to think about anything else when I came back.

And then Sunday, April 3rd, which is today. Yes, another “today”. I went to the marina and then I feel like I could write the reviews for March and April together If I continued to procrastinate, although the main reason is that I cannot find another good excuse.

To be honest, a lot of things happened in March.

Part 1: Emotion and lifestyle

The biggest change was that I have been released from the lease and will move out soon from the current apartment. Sounds like a huge project XD. I can finally live a life I have dreamed of for so long and start to prepare for working on-site. I was extremely unsettled, anxious and heart-broken before I had the solution. These negative emotions had a huge physical impact, resulting in losses of appetite and sleep so I lost much weight this month, not in a healthy way though, as my size dropped from L to M, even S for some styles and designs.

I have also learned a few life-changing lessons that are enough to turn over my behavior patterns and previous views of world, values and money. Undeniably the whole thing has left a dark shadow on me. I have started to walk out of it but apparently I need more time to breathe a sigh of relief. April and May will be busy. Hopefully and luckily I have these distractions. The Sun will rise as usual and things will get better, eventually.

Part 2 : Work and after-work studies

I have more confidence and proficiency in the product of my company and I start to have courage to not only make contributions to an emergency case, but also take care, even ownership of it.

Next is about Spanish. I had done this translation work between Spanish and English for a month, sentence by sentence, using a lot of Google Translate. And I have seen great progress. I have found my way to learn Spanish at this stage and perseverance is the most important thing I need now.

A brief regarding the database study. I want to focus more on Spanish at this moment so I will postpone it into the foreseeable future.

Downtown San Francisco

Part 3 : Adventures!

I felt really annoyed and depressed so I decided to go out much more frequently to explore San Francisco.

Usually on a Saturday morning, I took the ferry to San Francisco Ferry Building, had a light breakfast and then made a day trip. I have been to Fisherman’s Wharf (3 times), Carton Art Museum, Lombard Street, Coit Tower and Union Square. I even tried SF Cable Car, which was a fantastic experience (pricey though XD).

For movies and shows, I have watched more than half of all the movies newly released, including

West Side Story (classic musical, my favorite one so far this year),

Spiderman: No Way Home (came to see three of them),

Jiujiutsu Kaisen 0 (Gojo Satoru is so handsome!),

The Lost City (lovely views of tropical islands and Daniel Radcliff, the guy who played Harry Potter),

Uncharted (amazing actions and breath-taking scenes; besides I could understand some Spanish dialogues in the movie),

Morbius (came to see Jared Leto but then found the villain was cute in a different way).

Now I’m looking forward to the Fantastic Beasts 3, Doctor Strange 2, and other movies.

I even watched the show Harry Potter and the Cursed Child in the Curran Theater, first time ever in a theater. I was not really attracted to the stories of the next generation but the show was worth the price. It was a special experience.

Thank you for reading and hope you all have a great week ahead!
